Robert Di Domenica, American composer, flutist and music educator, was born in New York City on March 4, 1927. He received a BS degree in music education from New York University (1951) and pursued private studies in composition with Wallingford Riegger and Josef Schmid; his principal flute teacher was Harold Bennett.
